Reindeer Christmas Craft

How to make a reindeer

Try this simple paper craft with your little ones this Christmas. Kids love drawing round their hands and feet at the best of times and it's even more fun when they use the cut-out shapes to make pictures. I've included a list of supplies, but at bare minimum you need only paper, pens, glue and scissors.

Supplies list:
~ dark brown and light brown
paper or card for a sturdier reindeer
~ felt tip pens
~ pre-cut shapes/
stickers
~
googly eyes/glitter etc.

~ glue

1. Take the dark brown paper and draw around one foot to make the reindeer's head.
2. Take the light brown paper and draw round both hands to make the reindeer's antlers.
3. Glue the hand-antlers to the wide, toe end of the foot-head.
4. Add eyes, nose, mouth and any other decorative bits.
5. Put on the wall and enjoy :)

As you can see, I still have the reindeer that Boykin made when he was 2. I get it out every Christmas and stick it up on the wall amongst the other trimmings. I wish we'd made one of these little reindeer every year as a kind of Advent growth chart. I have heights marked on a door frame but seeing hands and feet adds an extra dimension. Just imagine, we could have a veritable herd of reindeers on the wall by now :)
